Roland Lamah’s night was only a third of the way over and it was already hard to imagine how it could have gone any better.

The FC Dallas attacker scored three goals in the first 31 minutes of his side’s contest against Real Salt Lake to pick up the incredible first-half hat trick.

The Ivory Coast native, in his first MLS season, had scored just one goal in his first 12 games in the league, only to breakout in a big away against Salt Lake.

Real and Ronaldo are once in a generation

Lamah got things started just eight minutes in as he got to the end of a Michael Barrios low cross and slammed it home to give Dallas the early 1-0 lead over the visitors.

In the 22nd minute the attacker doubled his tally as Dallas hit RSL on the counterattack. Maximiliano Urruti found Lamah alone in the area and the attacker had time to compose himself and slot the finish home.

A bad giveaway and another counterattack saw Lamah use his pace to get in behind the RSL defense less than 10 minutes later, and once again he did not miss, completing his hat trick.

The goal gave Dallas a commanding 3-0 advantage over Salt Lake.

Things got even worse for Salt Lake as Urruti and Tesho Akindele added goals of their own to make it 5-0 Dallas at the half and would go on to win the contest 6-2.
