LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers is out for the rest of 2017 after being placed on the season-ending injury list, the club announced Thursday.

The 29-year-old fullback has not seen the field this year after undergoing offseason surgery to repair nerve damage in his left ankle.
Rogers has made 204 MLS appearances for the Columbus Crew and Galaxy since debuting in 2008. The former U.S. international made 22 starts for the Galaxy in the regular season and playoffs last year.
His absence has left a substantial void for Curt Onalfo's side at right back, with Rafael Garcia, Nathan Smith and Bradley Diallo splitting time at the position this season.
