The Yankees had to overcome the traumatization of a backed-up toilet before defeating the A’s 5-1 on Saturday. Because we all know how traumatizing a backed-up toilet can be.
Multiple reports said that workers at Oakland Coliseum were busy Saturday fixing plumbing issues that arose Friday night in the bathroom of the visitors’ dugout. The leak ran into the dugout itself, a less-than-desirable scene captured by MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch.

The situation interrupted the Yankees’ pre-game routine, but manager Joe Girardi said his team was none the worse for it.

“You had to run upstairs if you needed to use (the bathroom)" Girardi said. "It kept some of our bullpen guys nice and loose."
This isn’t the first time the stadium has been beset by plumbing problems. In June 2013, raw sewage flooded the A's dugout. Later in 2014 and again in 2015, the coaches’ bathroom in the A’s clubhouse had sewage issues of its own.
No wonder the Raiders, who share the stadium with the A’s, want out. Las Vegas is much nicer.
