A couple months ago, the Yankees seemed to be running away with the AL East and the No. 1 seed in the American League. Needless to say, this weekend's Yankees-Red Sox series could be crucial in a number of ways — and it will almost certainly be appointment viewing for diehard baseball fans. A series win could put the Yanks back in first place, or put Boston even closer to New York in the AL East standings.
