New York Yankees starting pitcher Nestor Cortes has long been known for his funky delivery, which often include a lot of hesitation to throw off the timing of the batter.
During Sunday's game against the Cleveland Guardians, however, Cortes took it to a completely new level. With no one on base and two outs in the bottom of the second inning, Cortes went through his motion, slowed down halfway through and then quickly pump-faked a pitch.

No runners were on base so it wouldn't constitute as a balk, but this definitely comes close to the line of what is allowed and what isn't without runners on base.
Just check it out for yourself.

Some fans took issue with it, but others were loving the funky delivery from Cortes.
