This weekend's Yankees-Mets series is in jeopardy after two members of the Mets organization tested positive for COVID-19.
MLB called off the Mets' series final vs. the Marlins in Miami on Thursday and their series opener vs. the Yankees at Citi Field set for Friday in response to the test results, MLB.com reported. It has has yet to decide whether to postpone Subway Series games scheduled for Satuday and Sunday as well.

Per MLB.com, MLB ordered the postponements "out of an abundance of caution and to allow for additional testing and contact tracing." The New York Post's Mike Puma reported Thursday night that a position player and a coach, both unnamed, tested positive.
The Yankees are already in New York; they played at home Thursday afternoon against the Rays.
These are the Mets' first two COVID-19 postponments of the season. The Yankees had games vs. the Phillies postponed in early August after an outbreak among Marlins players and staff in Philadelphia the previous weekend.
If any Yankees-Mets games need to be made up after this weekend, then they could take place next weekend when the teams are scheduled to meet at Yankee Stadium.
MLB has ordered multiple postponements this season because of COVID-19. The Cardinals alone had 14 games called off following an outbreak in the first full week of the season.
