When New York Yankees DH Giancarlo Stanton hits a home run, he really hits a home run.
That was the case Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium when the Yankees hosted the Toronto Blue Jays. With the bases loaded and two outs, Stanton absolutely crushed a fastball to left field.
The ball came off the bat at 110.6 miles per hour and gave the Yankees a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Statcast said it traveled 417 feet, but this immaculate home run had fans in awe.
One day baseballs will have rights. Stanton will do hard time for what he did today. #RepBX https://t.co/4NacdA9iH7
