New York Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon face the Chicago White Sox for the first time wearing the pinstripes on Sunday afternoon.
After allowing a first-inning home run, Rodon settled in nicely to give the Yankees a solid outing en route a 7-2 win at Yankee Stadium.
Rodon tossed 6.0 innings allowing four hits, two runs and two walks while striking out six. He threw 99 pitches (60 strikes) and generated 23 swings and misses.

Rodon has enjoyed a strong season with the Yankees thus far. He's 5-2 with a 3.27 ERA in 10 starts. He has 55 strikeouts and 16 walks in 55.0 innings pitches.
The southpaw was drafted by the White Sox in the 16th round of the 2011 MLB Draft. He spent seven seasons with the White Sox before joining the San Francisco Giants in 2022 and then the Yankees in 2023.
