Dealing with a championship loss is tough on athletes. Having the strength to answer annoying media questions after a heartbreaking defeat is even harder. But the Yankees are preparing their players on how to deal with the media by telling them not to act like Cam Newton did after losing to the Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

The Yankees showed their players video of Newton's and Russell Wilson's Super Bowl press conferences after losing in the big game, according to ESPN

During the Yankees' media training, the Super Bowl is being used to portray the right and wrong way to act. Part of a video shown to pitchers and catchers compares how Cam Newton handled his Super Bowl loss to the way Russell Wilson dealt with his defeat the previous year.

Newton, of course, was ripped for abruptly leaving his press conference after Super Bowl 50, an act some saw as a sign of sore losing and disrespect. Wilson, on the other hand, answered every question and took the blame for the loss to the Patriots a year ago.

The Yankees know the competitive New York media market would have a heyday if Alex Rodriguez and company walked out during a presser, so thanks to some media training the PR department hopefully won't have to deal with any controversies this season.
