New York Yankees slugger Mark Teixeira's first home run in Sunday's 6-3 win against the San Diego Padres made MLB history.

The blast — Teixeira's first of two on the night — brought him to 400 for his career. He joined Carlos Beltran (411) and Alex Rodriguez (695), making the Yankees the first team in MLB history with a trio of teammates with 400 career home runs.

Beltran and Teixeira are only the second pair of teammates to reach the 400-homer milestone in the same season.

Teixeira, who is batting under .200 this season, went 2 for 5 with two home runs and three RBIs in the game. His home runs came in the eighth and ninth innings.
