New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone faces a ton of pressure to deliver over the next few months.

As the Yankees find themselves in the thick of the playoff race tied with the best record in the American League at 68-47, most managers would feel a seat that is freezing cold.

Boone manages the Yankees, though, and it seems his seat is warming up despite the overall success of the team with roughly two months left in the season.

According to Jon Heyman of The New York Post, Boone could be on his way out if the Yankees don't make a deep playoff run.

"I would say, they have to get into the playoffs, first of all, and need to win at least one round," Heyman said via Bleacher Report. "I think he is beloved by Hal Steinbrenner the owner. I think he is beloved by the general manager Brian Cashman and I think they desperately want to keep him around but if they're knocked out in the first round, it's going to be pretty tough so I would say that's a pretty warm seat.

It has been an interesting ride with Boone at the helm. His overall record suggests the Yankees have had success, but there have been some polarizing moments over the years from how he's handled certain players to the fact they've reached the ALCS twice in the last five seasons.

This could be a crucial season for Boone to solidify his standing as the manager moving forward. With Aaron Judge in the middle of an MVP season and Juan Soto enjoying a career year, the Yankees have to make a run.

If they don't, the conversation about Boone's future will be very interesting.
