All things must come to an end, including Xander Bogaerts' impressive hitting streak.
The Red Sox shortstop was unable to hit safely in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Blue Jays, snapping his streak at 26 games.

Bogaerts went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts, but did walk twice as his batting average lowered to .343.
Last week, Bogaerts' teammate, Jackie Bradley Jr., saw his 29-game hitting streak snapped against the Rockies. They are the just the third set of teammates in the past 75 years to have hitting streaks of more than 25 games in the same season.
Bogaerts and Bradley are also the only MLB players to have hit streaks of at least 20 games this season. Kansas City's Eric Hosmer had an 18-game streak earlier in the season.
