And then there was one.

One game to decide it all. One ring to rule them all. World Series. Game 7. Tonight. 'Nuff said.

It almost seemed like fate that Game 7 would happen, right? After Max Scherzer was pulled from his Game 5 start in Washington, the next step would be recovery, and then pitching. Well, as long as Scherzer holds up between the morning and Game 7, he will be Washington's starter.

The Astros turn to Zack Greinke, who has been enigmatic this postseason. He's pitched 18 2/3 innings between four postseason starts, allowing 11 runs on 22 hits in the process. Needless to say, this is the biggest start of Zack Greinke's career. This is what the Astros got him for.

Game 6 umpire controversy explained

Astros catch Stephen Strasburg tipping

The Nationals bats awakened after three straight games at home of scoring a single run in each. Anthony Rendon notched five RBIs in the Game 6 victory on the power of a double and a home run while Adam Eaton blasted a home run of his own. The Astros bats were held largely in check by Strasburg's dominant Game 6 performance, as he allowed just two runs over 8 1/3 innings pitched.

Could we see Gerrit Cole? Stephen Strasburg again? José Urquidy? Actually, it's all hands on deck for both squads in the very last game in the 2019 season.
