Game 4 of the World Series is on Wednesday, and so far Astros vs. Phillies has utterly defied expectations.
After the Phillies battled back to win Game 1 in Houston, the Astros looked like they seized back momentum in a decisive Game 2 victory.
The Phillies wrested that momentum back and then some in Game 3 on Tuesday, winning 7-0 with a World Series record-tying five home runs. Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber, and Rhys Hoskins all homered for the Phillies, sending Lance McCullers Jr. out of the game and shell-shocking the Astros.
This is familiar territory for the Phillies, who haven't lost at home yet this season. They're now 6-0 at Citizens Bank Park, and going 7-0 at home with a win Wednesday would give them a commanding 3-1 series lead.
They have the right guy on the mound for it. Aaron Nola will take the bump for the Phillies after a rocky Game 1 appearance in which he gave up five runs in 4 1/3 innings. He'll look to make up for those struggles. For the Astros, Christian Javier will put his 1.35 postseason ERA on the line trying to get the Astros back into the series and guarantee six games.

The Phillies are riding an undeniable high right now, and for good reason. They have another two games at home as they look to win their first World Series since 2008. If they win Wednesday, that would be a gigantic step in that direction.
