The Dodgers are making their second consecutive World Series after beating the Brewers in seven games in the National League Championship Series.
The American League champion Red Sox dominated the defending World Series champion Astros in five games in the ALCS to make their fourth Fall Classic appearance in 14 years.
These two teams last met in the World Series in 1916 when the Dodgers were the Brooklyn Robins. Babe Ruth helped Boston to its fourth championship as the Red Sox beat the Robins four games to one.
