For Indians fans willing to make the five-plus hour drive to Chicago, there may be some affordable seats available for the potentially decisive Game 5 of the World Series. With the Cubs on the brink of elimination, ticket prices to Sunday night's game at Wrigley Field are trending downward in a big way.

As of 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, the least expensive ticket on Vividseats.com was $648 for a general admission, standing-room only ticket. Per FoxSports.com, during the seventh inning of Game 4, the lowest priced ticket for Game 5 was still $1,000.    

The Indians scored three runs in the top of seventh to blow the game open with a 7-1 lead, and Game 5 ticket prices “tumbled out by out, inning by inning,” according to the report. 

Cleveland went on to win Game 4 7-2 to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

At one point a week ago, the least expensive ticket on Vividseats.com to Game 5 was $2,638 and the median price was $7,500. That was when Cubs fans envisioned their team having a chance to win their first World Series since 1908 with a win in the series’ last game at Wrigley.
