World Series 2016: 90-year-old Cubs superfan promises to celebrate with Jagermeister image

CHICAGO — Cubs fans, as you know, have been waiting for such a long time to see their team head back to the World Series.

The franchise hasn’t been to the World Series since 1945, you might have heard a time or 10 lately. Anyway, fans started celebrating as soon as the final out was made, and those fans who have been waiting the longest promised to celebrate the hardest.

Take Dorthy Farrell, for example. "I just love my Cubbies," she told FOX Sports reporter Ken Rosenthal.

The 90-year-old Cubs fan has had the same seats at Wrigley Field since 1984, and when Rosenthal asked her how she was going to celebrate, her answer captured the attention of the baseball-loving country.

Yep.

"I'll probably have a Jagermeister," she said.

That vile dark liquid that’s launched thousands of forgotten nights seems like an appropriate celebration for such a long-awaited occasion.

For Cubs fans of any (drinking) age.
