World Series 2015: Yoenis Cespedes says he’s ‘not 100 percent’ image

Mets slugger Yoenis Cespedes won’t quite be himself in Game 1 of the World Series, as he has lingering pain from an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder.

Cespedes suffered the injury in Game 4 of the NLCS and has had nine days to rest, but said Monday he still feels “a little discomfort.”

"It will not prevent me from swinging, but I am not 100 percent. I’m not playing with a full tank,” Cespedes said, via ESPN.com. “If I can’t hit — and I do think I will be able to — I can run, I can field and I can throw. I can do everything else that I know how to do."

In 57 regular-season games with the Mets, Cespedes posted a .287/.337/.604 slash line with 17 home runs and 44 RBIs. He has two homers and seven RBIs in nine postseason games entering Tuesday's Game 1 of the World Series against the Royals.
