Trevor Bauer is no stranger to ruffling feathers online, but sometimes his antics can produce enjoyable results.
Bauer was spotted Friday during the Indians-Astros series opener in Houston wearing an addition to his jersey that referenced a Twitter exchange between himself and the Astros.

The exchange began in early May when Bauer appeared to accuse Houston's pitchers of doctoring baseballs to improve the spin rates on their fastballs (he later said he wasn't singling out anyone). The Cleveland pitcher went back and forth with a few Astros players on Twitter about the claim, but the online spat reached its climax when Houston third baseman Alex Bregman called Bauer by the wrong name.

Bauer has gone along with the joke since. In addition to this latest reference, he has added "Tyler" to his display name on Twitter.

The dispute has since turned to good-natured ribbing. Bauer donated to Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr.'s foundation, on Day 51 of Bauer's "69 days of giving."
Donation 51/69 goes to The @LMcCullers43 Foundation. It aims to get pets out of sticky situations by promoting pet adoptions, raising awareness for shelters and programs, and continuing the journey to a no-kill world. Tell me about your charity. https://t.co/PSouuufsQ3 pic.twitter.com/WsKwmXZ58B

McCullers thanked Bauer for the donation, but not without first throwing a jab.
Tyler, thanks for the exposure. Also, we will be re donating your funds to another local Houston charity, since you love us so much! Tag your charity below. https://t.co/hKZAyev9o4
