Jose Iglesias may have moved past his Friday scuffle with teammate James McCann, but he certainly doesn't regret it.

“Things happen ... everybody’s not going to be on the same page, but it’s over with,” the Tigers shortstop said, Detroit Free Press . “We just gotta play better and win today."

The Tigers lost Friday's game to the Red Sox, 7-2, which led to tension bubbling over between Iglesias and McCann, and a hard shove on Iglesias' part .

Iglesias refused to speak to reporters after the game, and McCann only addressed the incident as "an in-house subject and we got it taken care of."

When asked if he and McCann were OK going forward, Iglesias said: “I mean, I don’t care. I don’t really pay too much attention to those personal stuff. I think it was just part of the game. We kind of got a little bit heated in the dugout, but other than that everything’s fine.”

And, according to Iglesias, he would handle the situation the same way.

"I did what I’m supposed to do," he said.

When manager Brad Ausmus was told that Iglesias said he wouldn’t have handled things differently, Ausmus said: “I don’t really have a response to it. I mean, maybe he subscribes to the theory there’s no bad press.

“It’s over now. I’m not worried about him.”
