Let's taco 'bout it.
Red-blooded Americans get jazzed up over two things: Baseball and tacos. Every year in October, both of those take center stage, and the tacos are courtesy of baseball.
That's because the "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" campaign courtesy of the fast-food Mexican (adjacent) restaurant Taco Bell is back again for the 2022 World Series. Astros and Phillies players will be taking their shot to steal a bag and secure the bag (of tacos) for Americans thanks to the promotion.
Through the years, Mookie Betts, Cameron Maybin, Lorenzo Cain, Ozzie Albies, and now Kyle Schwarber have been some of the country's taco heroes, securing that delicious Taco Bell goodness for everyone who wants to indulge.

Come for the baseball, stay for the tacos. Here's how to get a free taco after Schwarber's stolen base on Friday:
How to get a free World Series taco from Taco Bell
It's not as simple as walking in to your local Taco Bell and demanding free food (if only it was so easy). There are a few steps to follow to get your delicious and free taco:
1. You must register for a Taco Bell rewards account on the Taco Bell website.
2. Download the Taco Bell app (yes, Taco Bell has an app — use it responsibly).
3. Wait for a stolen base in the 2022 World Series.
4. Once a stolen base happens (as deemed by the official scorer of the game), a reward for one free Doritos Locos Taco will be deposited on the Taco Bell app. Fans have 10 days to grab a free taco from a local, participating Taco Bell location, and of course, while supplies last.
While you're there, pick up a Baja Blast and tell management to bring back the Smothered Burrito.
Past Taco Bell stolen base players
There are a number of players who have won America free tacos in the past. With the "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion happening annually since 2015. There's even a repeat winner: Mookie Betts was the whole enchiladaa in 2018 and 2020, the only player to repeat.
In the 10 years that the campaign has happened, teams whose player secures the first stolen base of the World Series are a whopping 8-2.
