Well, that was short-lived.

In just his third start from being activated off the disabled list, Washington Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg left just 3 2/3 innings into his start against the Giants.

Strasburg made a move towards a Buster Posey ground ball and came up holding his left side and wincing. His last stint on the DL was the result of neck tightness, so this injury appears to be unrelated.

Nationals manager Matt Williams and a trainer came out to the mound and discussed the injury with Strasburg before ultimately pulling him from the game. He allowed just one hit.

This latest setback is especially disappointing for the Nats considering Strasburg was 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 15 strikeouts in his previous two starts.
