Fresh off becoming a World Baseball Classic champion, Shohei Ohtani returns to the City of Angels with an eye towards helping the Angels reach the postseason for the first time since 2014.

The Halos job won't be easy though, thanks in large part to a division which seemingly gets stronger with each passing winter. The Astros are coming off another World Series winning season, the Mariners finally reached the postseason again and the Rangers continued their spending spree hoping for some results in the fall.

For all of their faults, the Angels still have the game's two best players suiting up in Anaheim 81 times a year. Mike Trout hopes his back troubles are now finally in the past but Ohtani could have a wandering eye if things go south.

While the team improved its lineup and pitching staff -- through additions like Hunter Renfroe and Tyler Anderson -- health will again be the key in Los Angeles. Will this be Ohtani's final season in Anaheim? More importantly, can the Angels stars finally get them back into the postseason. Well, you'll have to tune in to find out.

Here is a complete guide on how to watch Shohei Ohtani and the Angels without cable in 2023, including all live streaming information for fans inside and outside the Los Angeles market.

How to watch Angels games without cable

—Leading off in the top spot is the newly rebranded Fubo. They carry the Angels' regional sports network, Bally Sports West (BSW), meaning you can still catch the games if you live in the Los Angeles market. The streamer comes with a free trial and allows you to cancel at any time.

DirecTV Stream is the only other option for cord cutters living inside the Angels market. Their "Choice" package carries BSW, which starts at $99.99 a month. Fans can also access all the other necessary channels for nationally televised games.

—For the out-of-market crowd, MLB.tv is worth a look as you'd be able to watch every game across the league, except for the teams in your market. MLB's subscription is $149.99 for the year or $24.99 a month. If you only want to watch the Angels, then that is $129.99 for the season.

—For fans inside or outside of the Los Angeles market, the Angels will have at least one game on Peacock and Apple TV+ this season. Those are separate streaming services that require a subscription and are unavailable through any cable or streaming provider. Peacock is $4.99 a month and Apple TV+ is $6.99 a month or $69 for the year.
