The Savannah Bananas will have a bat-dog for the season, and, no, that's not some weird hybrid animal.

The collegiate summer league team rescued an abandoned 7-week-old puppy, named her Daisy and made her a part of the team. Daisy was wandering around the team facility with no tags, collar or microchip, so team president Jared Orton and his family adopted her.

“It was just meant to be that we’d have a team dog as part of our staff,” Orton said. “We took Daisy to the vet and aside from being hungry and dehydrated, she was in pretty good health.”

Unfortunately, Daisy is too small to perform her duties as bat-dog, but that doesn't stop her from being adorable. Orton hopes to train Daisy within the next year so she can properly become a true bat-dog.

While we wait for Daisy to be trained, please enjoy some GIFs of her doing puppy things.
