The Boston Red Sox were welcomed into Guaranteed Rate Field on Thursday for their first of four games against the Chicago White Sox and promptly earned a 14-2 victory.
Boston's offense exploded for a season-high 24 hits on the night with Jarren Duran (4-for-5 with a home run and a walk), Enmanuel Valdez (1-for-6 with a home run and a walk), Jamie Westbrook (1-for-2 with a home run), Dominic Smith (3-for-5 with a walk), Connor Wong (2-for-4 with a walk) and Ceddanne Rafaela (4-for-6) driving in the team's runs.
Westbrook's home run was the first of his career, and it was an awesome moment after such a long stint in the minors.

Red Sox starter Tanner Houck dominated again, allowing just two runs on three hits while striking out nine over his eight innings. He's been so good this year that this game actually brought his ERA on the season up to 1.91.
Cam Booser pitches two scoreless innings in relief, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out three.
With the win, Boston improves to 14-2 on the year and 18-3 on the road. The two teams will meet again on Friday for the second game of this four-game series.
