The Boston Red Sox entered Sunday's contest with a chance to earn a series victory over the Chicago Cubs, and they accomplished that feat by walking it off 5-4.
Outfielder Tyler O'Neill (1-for-4) delivered the game-winning knock, scoring Jarren Duran (1-for-4 with two RBIs) from third.
Catcher Connor Wong (2-for-4) scored the other two runs for Boston on the night.
As for the pitching, starter Tanner Houck was great, going another 6 2/3 innings and allowing just one run on four hits while striking out nine.
Unfortunately, Chris Martin struggled in relief, allowing three runs on three hits in his 1 1/3 innings. Kenley Jansen delivered a scoreless, hitless ninth to earn the win.
Boston is now 16-13 on the season and 5-8 at Fenway Park. They'll have a day off on Monday, and then host the San Francisco Giants for a three-game series starting Tuesday.
