The Boston Red Sox entered Sunday with a chance to earn another series win, this time over the Los Angeles Angels, as they accomplished that task with a 12-2 victory in the series finale.

Red Sox starter Tanner Houck pitched very well, striking out seven and giving up just four hits over six scoreless innings. He's faced two of the worst lineups in baseball in his two starts, but he's done exactly what needs to be done against them.

Chase Anderson came in and pitched the remaining three innings for Boston, allowing two runs on four hits to earn his second save of the season.

Without shortstop Trevor Story, who landed on the 10-day IL with a dislocated shoulder, they turned to Triple-A call-up David Hamilton (2-for-4 with a walk), and he rewarded the decision with a solo home run in the third.

Just two batters later Rafael Devers (1-for-3 with a walk) and Tyler O'Neill (1-for-3 with a walk) hit back-to-back jacks. Catcher Reese McGuire (2-for-4 with five RBIs), who is off to a great start to the young season, made it four home runs on the day for Boston.

First baseman Triston Casas went 2-for-5 and designated hitter Masataka Yoshida went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela, who entered the game as a pinch hitter, went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

The Red Sox finished their West Coast trip with a 7-3 record, and they'll have Monday off before their home opener on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles.
