Boston Red Sox closer Kenley Jansen entered Tuesday night's game against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium in the bottom of the eighth inning with a one-run lead, two outs and a man on third base.
Jansen got Maikel Garcia to strike out swinging and then shut the door in the ninth by sitting all three batters down, including Bobby Witt Jr. by strikeout to end the game.
With the contest being so close, and the two teams separated by just a half-game after the win, the atmosphere in the final innings was electric. That shined through on the Red Sox's alternate broadcast "Unobstructed Views," which featured sports personalities Jared Carabbis, Sara Perlman-Mancini, Tyler Milliken, Steve Perrault and Coley Mick.
When Jansen recorded the final strikeout, the crew erupted with a cheer and then drizzled ketchup on Milliken, which is something that's usually done metaphorically on their "Section 10 Podcast" to celebrate a series win.

There have been a lot of blowouts during the first few alternate broadcasts, but this one proved that the concept is a great one when it's a close game.
