The rise of Boston Red Sox prospect Roman Anthony has been incredible to watch, as he's gone from a 2022 second-round pick that looked lost to now being considered one of the best prospects in baseball.

On Tuesday, Baseball America released their Top 100 Prospects update for September, and Anthony came in at No. 2.

The 20-year-old began this year in Double-A Portland and hit .269 with an .856 OPS, 15 home runs, 45 RBIs and 16 stolen bases in 84 games.

He was promoted to Triple-A Worcester back in August, and he's been even better. In 18 games for the Woo Sox, he's hit .315 with a .927 OPS, three home runs and 10 RBIs.

Boston also had five other players land in the Top 100 - Marcelo Mayer (No. 11), Kristian Campbell (No. 25), Kyle Teel (No. 26), Braden Montgomery (No. 26) and Franklin Arias (No. 94).

Pitching prospect Luis Perales also made the list earlier in the season but was bumped after having Tommy John surgery.

The future is very bright for the Red Sox, and Anthony could outshine everyone.
