The Boston Red Sox have had a number of players miss time to injury this season, but some of them are finally coming back.
On Thursday, Boston announced that they've activated right-handed reliever Isaiah Campbell from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Worcester.
Campbell, 26, was originally placed on the injured list in early April due to a right shoulder impingement, and he began a rehab stint just over two weeks ago.
In seven outings for the Red Sox this year, Campbell posted a 12.79 ERA and a 2.05 WHIP. However, his first five appearances were fairly clean before allowing eight runs in the final two.
