After the Boston Red Sox took the first game of their series against the Texas Rangers Monday night at Fenway Park, the two teams met again Tuesday night, and Alex Cora's club earned a 9-4 win.

Boston's offense was potent in this one, scoring eight runs on the night. Rafael Devers (2-for-4) recorded an RBI double in the first inning. Rob Refsnyder's (1-for-4) two-RBI single in the fifth set up Connor Wong (2-for-4) for a three-run home run later in the inning. With the bases loaded in the eighth inning, Nick Sogard (1-for-4) drove in two more on a single to right, and Romy Gonzalez (0-for-1) drove in their final run with a sacrifice fly.

The Red Sox's arms were all right in this one. Kutter Crawford went 5 1/3 innings, giving up three hits and one walk while striking out four. He allowed one run before loading the bases in the top of the six. Cam Booser allowed all three baserunners to score without recording an out, leaving Crawford with four earned runs on the night.

Lucas Sims (1 1/3 innings), Bailey Horn (one inning) and Kenley Jansen (1 1/3 inning) finished the game with scoreless appearances out of the bullpen.

This win improves Boston to 63-55 on the season and 29-31 at home. It also gave them the series win with a chance to secure the sweep on Wednesday.
