Add another Boston athlete to the "Donald Trump is My Friend" list — and this one is willing to endorse the GOP candidate.

Of course, Red Sox right-hander Clay Buchholz is a little more indebted to Trump than Patriots QB Tom Brady, The Boston Globe reported.

After all, before Trump was vowing to make America great again, he apparently was playing the part of matchmaker in 2008, when he introduced Buchholz to model/actress Lindsay Clubine. The two were married in 2009.

Now, Buchholz is a big supporter of Trump’s presidential campaign.

“Every time we’re in New York, we walk over to Trump in 200Tower and see him if he’s around,” Buchholz said.

And unlike Brady, who calls Trump a friend but stops short of endorsing him for the Republican nomination, when Buchholz is asked if he supports Trump for president, he give's an enthusiastic, “Absolutely!”

“He says what a lot of people think and don’t say,” Buchholz told The Globe. “I like that part of him.

“I’m not really into politics, but I’m watching a lot more now. He’s been awesome to me. He says what’s on his mind, which is why he’s accomplished so much in his life.

“I always found him to be a good-hearted person. He’s a lot of fun, but he’s obviously one of the smartest businessmen in the world, given what he’s been able to accomplish.

“His presence is different than anyone else. He speaks and everyone listens.”
