Crawford has been pretty good for Boston this year, posting a 3.54 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP while striking out 88 batters over his 15 starts. His last outing was a quality start against the New York Yankees, going six innings and giving up three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out a season-high nine batters. Only two Reds have ever recorded a hit off of Crawford - Candelario (1-for-1) and Espinal (2-for-4 with an RBI).
Abbot has also been solid for Cincinnati, as he's recorded a 3.42 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP while striking out 60 in his 14 starts. He went five innings and gave up three runs on four hits and three walks in his last start against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. O'Neill (0-for-2) is the only Red Sox to ever face Abbott in his career.
