After the Boston Red Sox were downed by the San Diego Padres 9-2 on Friday night, the two teams will meet again on Saturday afternoon for the middle game of the series at Fenway Park.
For the contest, Boston will send Tanner Houck to the mound while San Deigo will counter with Michael King.

Houck has been unbelievable for Boston this season, posting a 2.18 ERA (second in baseball) and a 0.97 WHIP (10th) while striking out 101 (tied for 15th). He gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays in his last outing. Only three Padres have recorded hits against him in his career - Luis Arraez (1-for-4 with a walk), Kyle Higashioka (1-for-3) and Tyler Wade (5-for-6 with a walk).
King has been pretty good in 17 appearances (16 starts) for San Diego this season, recording a 3.75 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP while striking out 109 (10th). He allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings in his last start against the Milwaukee Brewers. He's allowed hits to six Red Sox - Abreu (1-for-2 with an RBI), Devers (5-for-8 with two home runs, four RBIs and four walks), Duran (1-for-4 with an RBI), Rafaela (1-for-3), Smith (1-for-5) and Wong (1-for-3 with an RBI).
