After the New York Mets defeated the Boston Red Sox 4-1 on Monday at Citi Field, the two teams will meet again for the middle game of the series on Tuesday.
For the matchup, Boston will send Kutter Crawford to the mound while New York will counter with David Peterson.

Crawford has been all right for Boston this season, posting a 4.12 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP while striking out 141 batters in 28 starts. He's allowed three or fewer runs in each of his last three outings. Four Mets have recorded hits against him in his career - Harrison Bader (1-for-4), Jeff McNeil (1-for-2), Brandon Simmo (1-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs) and Luis Torrens (1-for-2).
Peterson has been great for New York in his 16 starts, posting a 2.83 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP while striking out 70 batters. He's allowed two or fewer earned runs in his last six outings. Three Red Sox have recorded hits against him in his career - Triston Casas (1-for-1), Rafael Devers (4-for-7 with an RBI) and Jarren Duran (1-for-1).
