Bello hasn't been good for the Red Sox this year, posting a 5,19 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP while striking out 71 over 15 starts. His last start was arguably his best of the year, allowing just one run on seven hits and a walk over 6 2/3 innings against the Miami Marlins. Only three Athletics have hits against him - JJ Bleday (2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBIs and a walk), Shea Langeliers (2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs) and Brent Rooker (1-for-2).
Estes has been all right for Oakland in his 10 starts, recording a 4.39 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP while striking out 43. He's allowed two or fewer runs over his last three outings, and he's never allowed a hit to any member of Boston's lineup.
