Two Boston Red Sox, one former and one current, met at the All-Star game festivities, and man was it heartwarming. Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran was in the middle of an interview when former Red Sox, now Atlanta Braves pitcher Chris Sale crashed the party. Sale ran up from behind and gave a hug to his former teammate, and talked him up. Sale then congratulated Duran on his first All-Star game selection and appearance, and said he texted Red Sox manager Alex Cora if Duran made the cut hoping he did. He ended it by complimenting Duran as a spark plug for his team.

This year, Duran is hitting .284, has five home runs, and leads the league with 10 triples, and set an American League record by getting 100+ hits, 10+ triples, 10+ home runs, and 20+ stolen bases before the All-Star break. As for Sale, he couldn't be doing better either. Currently leading the National League Cy Young race, Sale has amassed a 2.70 ERA with a 13-3 record, and has struck out 140 batters before the break.
