The Boston Red Sox enter Wednesday with a chance to stop the Cleveland Guardians from winning the three-game series at Progressive Field.
For this matchup, Boston will be starting Cooper Criswell, who's appeared in two games this season, allowing three earned runs (six total) on eight hits and two walks.
The Red Sox will also be getting back third baseman Rafael Devers, who returns from his knee injury. However, he'll not be playing his normal position.

Criswell's last appearance game against the Guardians on Thursday, when he allowed one earned run (four total) on three hits and one walk over 2 1/3 innings. The only active Guardian with a hit off of him in his career is Andres Gimenez (1-for-1).
Cleveland is sending to the mound Carlos Carrasco on Wednesday. His last start camp against Boston last week, as he went 5 2/3 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks. Six Red Sox have recorded hits off of him - Duran (1-for-4), Wong (2-for-5), Devers (1-for-4), O'Neill (1-for-5), Abreu (1-for-3 with an RBI) and Valdez (1-for-3)
