The Boston Red Sox entered Sunday with a chance to earn a series win over the Los Angeles Angels, and they achieved just that with a 5-4 victory.
Boston hit back-to-back solo home runs in the first inning with Tyler O'Neill pulling one to left and Triston Casas pulling another to right.

Pablo Reyes doubled in the fifth inning to score Jarren Duran, and designated hitter Masataka Yoshida hit his first home run of the season, scoring Wilyer Abreu in the sixth.
Red Sox starter Brayan Bello got himself in some trouble early, giving up a home run to Brandon Drury in the second and allowing another run in the third, but he shut it down from there. He went 5 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight.
Justin Slaten entered in relief, going 2 2/3 innings and lowing just one run on two hits. Kenley Jansen came in for the last full inning and recorded a save, but he allowed a run on a hit and a walk. Luckily, he was able to strike out Mike Trout with two outs and tying and go-ahead runs in scoring position.
Boston is now 9-7, and they'll welcome the Cleveland Guardians to town for four games starting Monday.
