American League West foes are set to clash on Apple TV+'s presentation of 'Friday Night Baseball' when the Mariners host the Rangers.

The upstart Mariners find themselves with a comfortable first-place lead in the AL West, having taken advantage of slow starts by the Astros and Rangers. Their success is largely a byproduct of dominant starting pitching.

Seattle is slated to send one of its young guns, George Kirby, to the mound on Friday. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 3.86 ERA this season and is coming off one of his best starts of the year, having thrown seven innings of one-run ball against the Royals.

The Rangers have experienced a bit of a World Series hangover following last fall's heroics; Texas, while second place in the AL West, has a record below .500. Injuries have cratered the rotation, and the offense has struggled at times.

But they certainly have the potential to turn things around, with household names like Corey Seager (.846 OPS) and Marcus Semien (team-high 2.9 WAR) up and down the roster.

Here is everything that you need to know about the Rangers vs. Mariners on Friday night.
