Thursday was not a day for pitchers.
The Rangers smacked five home runs in a 16-1 win over the Royals and they didn't even score the most runs on the day.

The blowouts didn't stop there, though.
The Braves beat the Cardinals 10-2, the Indians beat the Orioles 14-7 and the Brewers dropped the Phillies 11-3.
This was just a tough day for teams to keep the ball in the park, which resulted in a lot of lopsided scores.
Studs of the Night
Nationals outfielder Gerardo Parra went 3 for 3 with three RBIs in Washington's 7-6 win over the Mets.
Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman tossed six innings and allowed just one earned run but he again was left without a win in his team's 4-2 loss to the White Sox. He is getting less run support than anyone in MLB.

Duds of the Night
It's tough to single out one of these Cubs players as Kyle Schwarber, Victor Caratini, Jason Heyward and Albert Almora Jr. combined to go 0 for 13 with eight strikeouts in a 4-2 loss to the Reds.
Highlight
Manny Machado made a nice play in the hole during a matchup with the Pirates.
