Randy Johnson gets number retired by Diamondbacks, rocks out on drums image

Randy Johnson was one of the best and most recognizable pitchers in MLB history, and the Diamondbacks showed their appreciation for the lefty by retiring his No. 51 jersey on Saturday.

"The Big Unit" stands 6-11 and threw with a tricky side-arm motion. Hitters feared him, and fans loved him.

Johnson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame last month. He went 303-166 in his 22-year career with 4,875 strikeouts and a 3.29 ERA. He was 118-62 with the Diamondbacks, helping the team win the World Series in 2001. Oh, and he's a pretty good drummer as well.

The DBacks didn't stop with the jersey retirement. They designed and cooked a 51-inch corndog in Johnson's honor.
