Major League Baseball still hasn't announced which cities will host the 2021-25 All-Star Games, but it has settled on a site for 2026.

The Midsummer Classic will be held in Philadelphia that July, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in that city, the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Associated Press reported Thursday. MLB and the Phillies will make the official announcement during a Tuesday news conference at Independence Hall.

It will be the first All-Star Game played at Citizens Bank Park, which opened in 2004, and the fifth played in Philadelphia. The city also hosted the game at Veterans Stadium in conjunction with the nationwide bicentennial celebrations in 1976.

Phillies ownership has made no secret of its desire to host MLB's main midseason attraction in 2026, which undoubtedly paved the way for the unusually early announcement of the host city.

Cleveland will host this year's All-Star Game on July 9, while the Dodgers will host in July 2020. After that, the game is up for grabs for five years before the Philadelphia showcase.
