Orioles' empty stadium produces bizarre sights and sounds vs. White Sox image

The Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox are playing Wednesday afternoon's game in front of an empty Oriole Park at Camden Yards as a safety precaution resulting from the ongoing Baltimore riots.

The sights, and total lack of sounds, have been pretty bizarre.

Caleb Joseph signed autographs for imaginary fans.

No "O" with the anthem today ...

Or was there?

And now, the players take the field!

The first pitch. Just listen to that pop in the glove.

In fact, it's so quiet, you can hear the Orioles announcers on the White Sox broadcast.

Ordinarily a Chris Davis home run would end up a souvenir. Not today.

Yes, they still played "Thank God I'm A Country Boy."

Seventh-inning stretch at Camden Yards. If the fans out behind the fence yelled at the end, you couldn't hear from the press box.
