The Jackson Holliday era is upon us.

Baseball's No. 1 prospect — and the son of seven-time All-Star Matt Holliday — made his MLB debut for the Orioles on Wednesday night, batting ninth while playing second base. Holliday went 0-for-4 in a 7-5 Baltimore win; the mega-prospect is 0-for-8 with four strikeouts through his first two MLB games.

Holliday, just 20 years old, forced Baltimore's hand after hitting .321 with a .949 OPS across two-plus seasons in the minor leagues, dominating at every level. Now he joins an Orioles squad that won 101 games a year ago, continuing the franchise's stunning youth movement alongside the likes of catcher Adley Rutschman and shortstop Gunnar Henderson.

Now, Holliday and the Orioles (8-4) return home to Camden Yards for a three-game set with the Brewers, who are off to a hot start. Much like Baltimore, Milwaukee is reaping the benefits of one of baseball's top young talents: outfielder Jackson Chourio, a top-five prospect, entered Thursday hitting .282 with 9 RBIs through his first 10 games.

Star outfielder Christian Yelich, meanwhile, has enjoyed a return to MVP form, with a .316 average and .737 slugging percentage through play on Wednesday.

Here is everything that you need to know as Holliday gets set for his home debut against Chourio and the Brewers.
