The Baltimore Orioles have a very solid chance of being the team that hoists the World Series trophy this season.
Baltimore is loaded with exciting, young talent and currently boasts an impressive 73-53 record. The Orioles are just a half-game behind the rival New York Yankees. Baltimore has been great this season but it could've been even better.
The Orioles improved the starting rotation around the 2024 Major League Baseball trade deadline because they have dealt with a plethora of injuries all throughout the season. Baltimore's rotation hasn't been at full strength seemingly all year.
Baltimore will have to make some tough decisions this upcoming offseason as ace Corbin Burnes also will be a free agent and possibly could leave. No matter what, the Orioles will have to add to the rotation and was listed as the seventh-best landing spot for two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell by Bleacher Report's Zachary Rymer.
"The Orioles took a look at Snell ahead of the trade deadline, and it doesn't take much to imagine them doing it again if they can't re-sign Corbin Burnes," Rymer said. "Yet if David Rubenstein is willing to spend that kind of money, he's better off putting it into extensions for the club's core stars."
Snell would be a fantastic addition to the Orioles' rotation whether or not they lost Burnes. Keep a close eye on him this winter.
