New York Yankees top prospect Jasson Dominguez was activated from the injured list on Friday.
Dominguez has been on the injured list since the middle of June after suffering an oblique injury during a check swing while playing with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders — the team's Triple-A affiliate.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters earlier this week that Dominguez was close to returning to game action.

In 23 games this season, Dominguez had a .356 average and 1.013 OPS to go along with six home runs, 13 RBI and 53 total bases.
In the small sample size of 31 at-bats during his MLB debut in 2023, Dominguez hit four home runs and logged a .980 OPS before tearing his UCL.
With the trade deadline approaching, it will be interesting to see if the Yankees package Dominguez in a deal to grab a big fish on the market.
If not, we should expect to see Dominguez back at the MLB level at some point before the regular season ends.
