Fresh off a divisional series win, the New York Yankees started the new series against the Minnesota Twins of with a 5-1 win Tuesday night.
On the road at Target Field, the Yankees got down early after Carlos Rodon gave up a solo home run in the first inning. But that's all the Twins would wind up getting for the day.
With an 8-2 record over their last 10 games, the Yankees have seemingly found a groove.

Giancarlo Stanton continues to smoke baseballs
Stanton had another patented rocket home run with a solo home run in the top of the third inning. Barreling a line drive to left field, Stanton registered an exit velocity of 114 miles per hour. It was another ridiculous shot from Stanton. He also recorded an infield hit.

Solid outing from Carlos Rodon
The southpaw put together another solid start on the road Tuesday night. After giving up the first-inning solo homer, Rodon settled down nicely. He finished with a strong line of 6.0 innings pitched, six hits, one run, no walks and six strikeouts. He also generated 14 swings and misses while touching 97.1 miles per hour.
Hits galore
The bats were in full effect as every player in the lineup recorded at least one hit. Anthony Volpe, Giancarlo Stanton, Gleyber Torres and Oswaldo Cabrera recorded multiple hits. The Yankees finished with 13 hits as a team, all but one coming against Twins starter Chris Paddack.
