The New York Yankees delayed batting practice Monday in order to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse.
After pushing back the start time of Monday's game against the Miami Marlins, the Yankees players were all out of the dugout getting a glimpse of the total solar eclipse. Of course, they were wearing protective eye wear.
Manager Aaron Boone told reporters that all batting practice was delayed until 4:40 p.m. ET for safety reasons.

Nestor Cortes, checking out the eclipse, was in a chatty mood despite starting tonight.

He and Gerrit Cole agreed: Tommy Kahnle would have been the #Yankees player most likely to look at the eclipse without glasses, but he's not here. 🌑 https://t.co/y8QQ6ojeLb
