The New York Yankees designated left-handed pitched Victor Gonzalez for assignment among several roster moves, the team announced Friday.
In addition, the Yankees also signed right-handed Phil Bickford to the 40-man roster. They also recalled right-hander Yeondrys Gomez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
The Yankees optioned Ron Marinaccio following Thursday night's loss to the Baltimore Orioles, a move that was previously announced.

The 28-year-old Gonzalez had a 3.68 ERA in 27 games and 23.1 innings pitched for the Yankees this season. He recorded 11 strikeouts and 13 walks.
Bickford has appeared in 22 games at Triple-A this season with the Railriders. He has a 2-2 record in 27.2 innings pitched to go along with a 2.93 ERA, 35 strikeouts and 12 walks.
Gomez, 24, has a 3.13 ERA in 46 innings pitched in Triple-A to go along with 54 strikeouts and 26 walks.
